About Us

NH Tutors was started by Joann Mills, whose passion for education began over 20 years ago. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English from The State University of New York at Oneonta, Oneonta, NY and is working toward her M.Ed. at Rivier College Nashua, NH, focusing on Reading and Learning Disabilities.

We believe that each child learns at his own pace and has his own individual learning style and interests, and that with the current funding levels and political mandates, that too often schools lack the time and resources to sufficiently nurture unique learners. Some children fall behind and, over time, this erodes their self confidence, which in turn fosters a poor learning experience exacerbating educational deficits. Tutoring offers unique learners needed extra time and/or alternative material presentation better suited to your child’s individual gifts.
